Some events featured in and exclusive to Wild World

The following is a list of events in Animal Crossing: Wild World. Wild World does not have special events that are present in the other games in the series, such as Toy Day and Halloween, but does have ones that are unique to it such as La-Di-Day and the Acorn Festival.

Almost all events present in the game are periodic, occurring every month or so. All events are also present in all regions of the game, without any region locking.

January[edit]

  • New Year's Day (January 1): Tortimer greets the player a happy new year, and the player can receive fortunes from him.
  • La-Di-Day (second Saturday of January): Villagers participate in a competition to change the Town Tune.
  • Fishing Tourney (third Saturday of January): Tortimer hosts the first Fishing Tourney of the year outside the Town Hall, where the player must catch the largest fish.
  • Yay Day (fourth Sunday of January): The player and villagers practice giving complements to each other.

February[edit]

  • Flea Market (first Saturday of February): Villagers allow others to come in and buy some of their items, and similarly the player can offer villagers to buy theirs.
  • Bright Nights (from the Monday of the second week of February to the following Sunday): Villagers decorate their houses with bright lights, and the player gets to choose which house has the most beautiful lighting.
  • Fishing Tourney (fourth Sunday of February): Tortimer hosts the Fishing Tourney outside the Town Hall, where the player must catch the largest fish.

March[edit]

  • Flea Market (first Saturday of March): Villagers allow others to come in and buy some of their items, and similarly the player can offer villagers to buy theirs.
  • La-Di-Day (second Saturday of March): Villagers participate in a competition to change the Town Tune.

  • Fireworks Show (every Saturday of August): Tortimer is seen outside the Town Hall, giving the player a Sparkler or a Roman Candle. He may also give the player a fortune as a letter.
  • Bug-Off (third Sunday of August): Tortimer hosts the Bug-Off, where the player must catch the largest bug.

  • Flea Market (first Saturday of September): Villagers allow others to come in and buy some of their items, and similarly the player can offer villagers to buy theirs.
  • La-Di-Day (second Saturday of September): Villagers participate in a competition to change the Town Tune.
  • Bug-Off (third Sunday of September): Tortimer hosts the last Bug-Off of the year, where the player must catch the largest bug.

  • Acorn Festival (from the Monday of the second week of October to the following Sunday): Cornimer is outside the Town Hall and the player must give acorns to him in exchange for furniture from the Mushroom Series.
  • Fishing Tourney (fourth Sunday of October): Tortimer hosts the Fishing Tourney outside the Town Hall, where the player must catch the largest fish.

  • Flea Market (first Saturday of November): Villagers allow others to come in and buy some of their items, and similarly the player can offer villagers to buy theirs.

  • Countdown (December 31): The whole town prepares for the celebration of the new year, and a large countdown clock appears outside the Town Hall. Tortimer gives away Party Poppers beside the clock.

Special[edit]

  • Birthday: During the player's birthday, they will receive a birthday cake and a letter from their mom with a present attached. During villagers' birthdays, the player can visit them and give them a gift.
