Father's Day is an event in the Animal Crossing series where the player's Dad writes to the player. It usually occurs on the third Sunday of June; however, like Mother's Day, the date is different in some regions.

In Animal Crossing and Doubutsu no Mori e+

In Animal Crossing and Doubutsu no Mori e+, Dad sends the player a letter, and Tortimer will appear near the wishing well. If spoken to, he gives the player a locomotive model.

In City Folk

In Animal Crossing: City Folk, Dad sends the player a letter with a red carn. bag attached. Similarly, Mom sends the player a pink carn. bag on Mother's Day.

In New Leaf

In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Dad sends the player a letter with red carnations attached. Similarly, Mom sends the player pink carnations on Mother's Day.

In New Horizons

Although Father's Day does not appear in Animal Crossing: New Horizons as a standard event, it appears as a Nook Shopping seasonal event beginning in the 1.2.0 April Free Update. From June 1 to 30, the player can purchase the thank-you Dad mug and the thank-you Dad apron from Nook Shopping.

Recurrence

In Animal Crossing, Father's Day is observed on the third Sunday of June.

In City Folk and New Leaf, the date of Father's Day is dependent on the region or language of the game (determined by the Wii/Nintendo 3DS system language settings). In the Spanish and Italian locales, Father's Day occurs on a fixed date (March 19). In the North American, Japanese, UK English, French, and German locales, the date on which Father's Day occurs varies. The Father's Day event is not present in the Korean locale as Teacher's Day takes its place.
