Lions are a breed of villager in the Animal Crossing series. They are one of three types of large cat that appear in the games. There are nine lion villagers so far, all of them male; there are no female lions.

Trivia
- As Bud (who debuted in Animal Crossing) was the only lion to return in Animal Crossing: Wild World, the lion is one of the two villager species where none of the villagers who debuted in Doubutsu no Mori returned in said game. The other species not to return was the Bull.
- Out of all the Lion villagers, Aziz and Jubei are the only two to not appear in Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo.
