The horned dynastid, known as the dynastid beetle[nb 1] before Animal Crossing: New Leaf, is an uncommon insect in the Animal Crossing series. It appears during mid to late summer. In games prior to Animal Crossing: City Folk, it can be found between 7 PM-8 AM; in City Folk and beyond, it can be found as early as 5 PM.
