Clay (どぐろう, Dogurō) is a lazy hamster villager in the Animal Crossing series. He first appeared in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

Appearance

Clay is a brown hamster. He looks like a Dogu statue from the Jōmon period, hence his Japanese name, Dogurou. In addition, his English name is a take on "Dogu" which means "clay figure." His initial shirt is the Uncommon Shirt.
