Wolves are a species of canine villager in the Animal Crossing series . They are characterized by their long slender muzzles, thin pointed ears similar to cats , tails with bristled tips, and spiky fur on the back of their heads and on their cheeks.
There are twelve wolf villagers so far; 8 males, and 4 females, making this a predominantly male species. Of the wolves, all but five have either cranky or snooty personalities. Tarou has a jock personality, Skye has a normal personality, Audie has a peppy personality, and Kyle and W. Link both have a smug personality. Dobie used to be a lazy islander but became a cranky villager in Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo sisterly , or as of Welcome amiibo , lazy wolves.
Out of all the wolves, Tarou is the only wolf absent in Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo Dobie , Vivian , and W. Link are the only wolves that have yet to appear in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp
