Garbage Memorial Day (ゴミのきねんび[nb 1] Gomi no Kinenbi?) is a holiday exclusive to Doubutsu no Mori+ that occurs on May 3. Similar to other holidays introduced in that game, it corresponds to a real-world Japanese public holiday, namely Constitution Memorial Day. From 10 AM to 6 PM, Tortimer can be found by the shrine where he will give the player a dump model when spoken to.
In Animal Crossing and Doubutsu no Mori e+, the holiday was removed and replaced with Spring Cleaning Day.
Trivia[edit]
- Aside from being a parody of Constitution Memorial Day, the name of the holiday is wordplay using numeric substitution (goroawase) on the date, since the numbers 5/3 can be read as go-mi or ゴミ ("garbage").
