Puck (ホッケー, Hockey) is a lazy penguin villager in the Animal Crossing series. His name refers to a "puck", used in hockey games, which is played on ice, and ice is the habitat the typical penguin lives in. His Japanese name is literally the word Hockey. His favorite saying, "A bad attitude will land you in the penalty box," also references hockey. He is absent in Animal Crossing: Wild World, and he returns in Animal Crossing: City Folk. His initial phrase, brrrrrrrrr, is what people say when they are cold.

Puck is a light pink penguin with a yellow beak. He wears initally a blue helmet and a BB Shirt. In Doubutsu no Mori, there is more pink added to his face.

As a lazy villager, Puck will always talk about food, sleeping, his collection of comics, and other aspects of a sedentary lifestyle. He goes along with other villagers, though his lifestyle clashes with the jock's, where jocks are interested in keeping fitness. Puck's laid-back personality makes him easy to approach, so he may be befriended easily.

House

In Animal Crossing, Puck loves the Blue Series. In fact, he has all furniture items with matching wallpaper and carpet. He also has the Water Bird, all three gyroid Plinkoids including the Mini Plinkoid, Mega Plinkoid and Plinkoid. He has the blue wall and blue floor. In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, he has an outdoor snow theme. He has a Reel-to-Reel stereo that plays K.K. Casbah.
