Shamrock Day is an event in Animal Crossing: New Leaf that occurs on March 17. It occurs only in North American towns and is based on the real-life holiday St. Patrick's Day.
During the event, Isabelle can be found in front of the Town Tree in the Event Plaza next to a specially-themed photo standee, but will instead relocate in front of the Town Hall if the event happens to coincide with the March Fishing Tourney (as it does in 2018). If the player talks to Isabelle, she will inform the player about the holiday and give them a Shamrock Hat.
