The cassette player is a miscellaneous furniture item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. As a miscellaneous item, it can be placed on either the ground or on the surfaces of tables and other similar furniture items that have surfaces for items. The item acts as a stereo, allowing the player to play music they have acquired. As an outdoor item, it will provide an additional 0.5 development points towards the island rating.

The cassette player can be obtained from Nook's Cranny for  2,000 Bells. The item's color can be customized by Cyrus at Harv's Island for  1,000 Bells.

This item appears as a furniture item in the homes of Agent S, Astrid, Beau, Bruce, Bud, Butch, Buzz, Cleo, Dom, Elmer, Faith, Ione, Joey, Keaton, Lucha, Mira, O'Hare, Pinky, Plucky, Rasher, Roswell, Simon, Sterling, Stinky, Stu, and Sylvana. As a result, this item has a chance to be purchasable by the player if they were invited by any of the preceding villagers.
