(I know for a fact that Isabelle can say the mayor is female! My main file in my New Leaf game is male, but I have a second, female character, and Isabelle says the mayor is female when sending the latter letters about his anniversary. Maybe a progamming error? I'm not 100% sure, so I invisi-commented that part out for others to verify.) |

When the player loads their save file, Isabelle invites them at their doorstep to the event plaza, where the celebration occurs. She gives the player a sapling clock.
Non-mayor players will receive a letter from Isabelle, with an attached sapling clock.
