The hammock is a customizable houseware furniture item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The player is able to lie down on this item. If inside the player's house, the player can use the hammock to enter a dream island by laying down and choosing to go to sleep. As an outdoor item, it will provide an additional 0.5 development points towards the island rating.

The hammock can be obtained from either Timmy at the Resident Services Tent before building Nook's Cranny, or from Nook's Cranny once it has been opened for  1,300 Bells. The item's cloth pattern can be customized either by using 1 customization kit or by Cyrus at Harv's Island for  1,000 Bells. When customizing the item's cloth pattern, the player can use one of Sable's patterns or their own custom designs. The item's frame can only be customized by Cyrus.

This item appears as a furniture item in the homes of Biskit, Cally, Deirdre, Felicity, Mac, Patty, Simon, and Winnie. As a result, this item has a chance to be purchasable by the player if they were invited by any of the preceding villagers.

In Happy Home Paradise, this item is unlocked for use in designing when doing a vacation home request for Alfonso, Alli, Beau, Billy, Biskit, Bob, Cally, Curlos, Deirdre, Gayle, Gonzo, Jacob, Jeremiah, Louie, Mac, Maple, Mathilda, Nana, Octavian, Patty, Plucky, Pompom, Rocket, Rod, Rory, Sally, Soleil, Spork, Stitches, and Walker.

In the designing process of Happy Home Paradise, Mathilda, Octavian, Plucky, Rocket, and Soleil require this item to be placed in or outside their vacation home. This item is also required as one of the beds for the patient ward at the hospital.

After unlocking this item in Happy Home Paradise, the item can be purchased from Wardell's catalog for  1,200 Poki.
