Leap Day is a minor event in Animal Crossing: City Folk and Animal Crossing: New Leaf. It occurs on February 29, a date only accessible during years divisible by four.
A notice about the event is posted on the bulletin board, and villagers may also talk about the event. In New Leaf, Isabelle will announce that it is a leap day when the player first loads the game that day.
