The Town Tree is the signature tree located in the center of the town's Event Plaza in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. At the beginning of the game, the player who is designated the mayor will plant the sapling in the plaza's center while participating in a ceremony along with Isabelle and the town's villagers. The sapling will grow at a steady rate based on the amount of time that the player has played the game, going through five different stages of growth until it peaks at a humongous size. After the tree grows to a certain size, the player can sit on the brick wall surrounding the tree, allowing them to view a list of accomplishments and statistics made during their time as mayor.
