Bud (グラさん, Gura-san) is a jock, lion villager in the Animal Crossing series. In Animal Crossing and Template:AFe+, he is an islander.

Appearance

He wears pink-rimmed sunglasses with dark lenses, so his eye color is unknown, but in Animal Crossing for the Gamecube, if looked from at the right angle, one can see that Bud has small, black eyes with very small white pupils. His skin tone is darker than that of his mane, enhancing his "surfer-dude" appearance as well as wearing the Blue Aloha Shirt in Animal Crossing and Flowery Shirt after being on the island, which make up his island "surfer-dude" appearance.

Personality

He has a jock personality, which means he will have a keen interest in sport and fitness, making him appear competitive and in some cases rude when talking to other villagers, usually criticizing their fitness. He will appear slow-witted and absent-minded when talking about deep, meaningful things. He will get along well with peppy villagers, but get confused by the choice of lifestyle followed by lazy villagers, who appear opposite to the jock personality. He may offend and upset snooty and cranky villagers.

House

In the first Animal Crossing, Bud's house has an island look.

His house in Wild World and City Folk is beach themed - with beach chairs, beach tables, a red boom box, a ukulele, and a surfboard; for wallpaper he has Tropical Vista, and Tropical Ground for carpet. When he has a radio, it has "K.K. Ska" playing on it.

In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Bud's house keeps the same beach themed appearance.

Fruit Allergy

As an islander, he has a favorite fruit and a fruit that he is allergic to. Feeding him the latter fruit will reduce the likelihood of him dropping money bags. Bud loves pears, but is allergic to peaches.
