The Antique Chair can be obtained from Nook's Cranny (Upgraded) for  10,000 Bells.

This item appears as a furniture item in the homes of Baabara, Freya, Kiki, Naomi, Olaf, and Pecan. As a result, this item has a chance to be purchasable by the player if they were invited by any of the preceding villagers.

In Happy Home Paradise, this item is unlocked for use in designing when doing a vacation home request for Alice, Becky, Bettina, Cherry (Villager) Cherry (Villager), Chops, Colton, Cookie, Elise, Faith, Fang, Fauna, Gala, Gigi, Kidd, Marlo, Marshal, Moe, Muffy, Nan, Olaf, Pango, Pecan, Penelope, Portia, Raymond, Reneigh, Rhonda, Robin, Rodeo, Sydney, Tammy, Tia, and Willow. The item can also be unlocked when tasked by Lottie to design the café and the restaurant.

In the designing process of Happy Home Paradise, Fang, Portia, and Robin require this item to be placed in or outside their vacation home. This item is also required as one of the chairs for the dining hall at the café, as one of the chairs for the waiting area at the hospital, as one of the chairs for the dining hall at the restaurant, and as one of the chairs for the classroom at the school.
