The Dump is an open area in Animal Crossing and Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival where a player can drop off unwanted items. The Dump takes up one acre. About two items can be found there each day. These items are taken away on Monday and Thursday, 6 a.m. In Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk, the dump was replaced with the recycling bin, which can be found in the Town Hall. In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, this feature is absent, but players can sell and recycle objects in Re-Tail or they have the trash can furniture item. A player can also sell to Tom Nook or Timmy and Tommy as an alternative.
