Simon (エテキチ, Etekichi) is a lazy, monkey villager from the Animal Crossing series. His name probably comes from "simian". It may also be in reference to the game "Simon Says"; "Monkey see, monkey do," is a popular expression, and this expression relates to how the game "Simon Says" is played.

Appearance

Simon is a brown monkey with a white muzzle and red around his eyes. He has a long brown tail that swirls at the end, becoming a darker, chocolate brown color that matches his fore-arms and his feet. His ears are big, sticking out at the sides of his head, and they are blue on the inside. His nose is also blue, as are his eyelids. There is a point at the very top of his head that may be hair, as his fur is slightly darker at that point. He somewhat resembles the blue and red-eared monkey species.

Simon has a lazy personality, which means he will enjoy eating and sleeping. Cranky villagers will admire his laid-back attitude, yet jock villagers will argue with him due to his lack of exercise. Simon will get along with other lazy villagers due to the same interest. His dream is to be a movie director.

House

In Animal Crossing: City Folk, Simon has a Fan Palm, Bonfire, Cabin Bookcase, Conga Drum, a Microwave, two Tiki Torches and Hammock from the Backyard Theme in his house. He has the sandlot as his carpet and the lunar horizon as his wallpaper, both which can only be received from Sahara. If given a stereo, he will play Forest Life on it.
