Valentine's Day is an event in the Animal Crossing series that occurs on February 14.
Appearances
In Animal Crossing
In Animal Crossing, the player will receive letters from all of the animals in the town of the opposite gender on Valentine's Day. Each villager will attach a gift to their letter. What the player receives in the mail depends on their relationship with that villager. Shirts are given for fair to poor relationships and furniture is given for good relationships.
A week or two before Valentine's Day, villagers begin to hint that they are going to send chocolates to a special someone. Pete, the mailman, also advises everyone to clear their mailboxes.
In City Folk
In Animal Crossing: City Folk, the player may receive a letter from a villager on Valentine's Day that contains a Chocolate Heart. Additionally, Brewster serves hot chocolate at The Roost instead of coffee.
A week before Valentine's Day, a bulletin board notice appears announcing the event.
In New Leaf
In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, the player receives a letter from Isabelle on Valentine's Day that contains a Chocolate Cake, as well as a Chocolate Heart from villagers of the opposite sex if they have high friendship with. Additionally, Mom sends a letter that contains either a Cacao Tree, Uncommon Shirt (if the player is male), or Spring Shirt (if the player is female).
Like in City Folk, Brewster will serve hot chocolate instead of coffee on Valentine's Day.
In Pocket Camp
In Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, on February 13 the player will receive Valentine's Chocolate. On Valentine's Day itself, villagers will congratulate the player.
