Room Sketch is an app on the NookPhone that is only available via the Happy Home Paradise DLC of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. When using this app, the player will immediately enter decorating mode and into a specialized room. By default, the room that the player designs is empty, using a Room Sketch Wall and Room Sketch Flooring as the default interiors. The player can use many of the tools available for house customization, such as lighting, window adjustment, room resizing, soundscapes, and door entryway changes. They can also place items and change the wallpaper and flooring. The player cannot however use polishing features while using Room Sketch.
After the player saves the room, they can then use the saved template for a villager's vacation home on the archipelago doing the designing process. The player can not use this app if they are not on their own island or on the archipelago, nor can they use the saved template for their villager's house when decorating on their main island.
