September is the ninth month of the year. It is the first month of fall in the Northern Hemisphere and the first month of spring in the Southern Hemisphere. In the Northern Hemsiphere, the amount of bugs, fishes, and sea creatures decline, and (with the exception of New Horizons) more leave halfway through the month. In the Southern Hemisphere, the grass gradually changes from light-brown to green, with trees following suit and moving towards a lighter-shade of greeen.

Autumn Sports Fair	September 23 to 24	Animal Crossing	Villagers and player participate in various activities related to sports.
Harvest Moon Festival	Depends (September 20)	Animal Crossing City Folk New Leaf New Horizons	A event that is celebrated on the 15th day of the eight lunar month, representing traditional Asian culture.
Yay Day	July 25	Wild World	Villagers swap compliments with the player, and may refer to them infrequently after the event.
