The Tom Nook Point System, (renamed Nook's Point-Tracking Machine in City Folk) is a small machine that can be found in Tom Nook's store in WW and CF. Its purpose is to record the number of Bells spent by the player in the store and to encourage spending by offering discounts and rewards depending on the amount of Bells spent.
+
The Tom Nook Point System (TNPS) is a loyalty program for Tom Nook's store in WW and CF. Accessed from the Point-Tracking Machine (PTM) in the store, the Tom Nook Point System keeps track of the player's purchases, rewarding one point for every 100 Bells spent on a single item. As the player accumulates points, they will receive unique items and increase their member status, giving them store discounts.

For each 100 Bells spent, the player earns 1 'Nook Point'. Points are not cumulative; any extra Bells from a purchase that are not converted into Nook Points are lost and are not carried on to the next purchase. For example, an item bought for 880 Bells equals 8 points, not 8.8 points.
+
Around once per month, Tom Nook's store holds a Point Special, in which the player receives five times the normal amount of points for each purchase. Point Specials always occur on weekends where there are no events, and they are announced on the bulletin board three days in advance.

A new addition in Wild World, the Tom Nook Point System is a small rectangular machine that is located lower left in Nook's Cranny, upper right in Nook 'n' Go, and lower right in Nookway and Nookington's. Upon interaction, the Tom Nook Point System allows players to view their point total, see their status, or get general help regarding the machine.

In WW, the player increases their member status when they accumulate a total of 300, 5,000, 10,000, and 20,000 points. Reaching each status rewards the player with a unique store model, and the last three statuses rewards store discounts. Point Specials do not occur until a second player moves to the player's town.

In CF, the point statuses, rewards, and discounts return from short. New options on the Point-Tracking Machine include "Visitor points" and "Exchange present". Selecting the former allows the player to receive three points each day for visiting the store; if done while visiting another player's town, the player instead receives five points. Selecting the latter option allows the player to spend points in exchange for Nintendo-themed items; the player can accumulate a total of 50,000 points to spend.
Aside from being changed to a green color and having its name changed to the Nook's Point-Tracking Machine, there are two notable additions to the TNPS in City Folk. The player can claim three free points each day, and there are Nintendo-themed rewards available in exchange for points. After the player purchases a reward, the number of points remaining to spend on items is lowered, but not the Player's overall points. This means that the player will remain on a certain points status, even if his or her points balance is below the required number. Only one reward can be purchased per day.

All rewards from Wild World can also be obtained in City Folk; Points status' are also the same.

The player accessing the Tom Nook Point System in Animal Crossing: Wild World.
Not to be confused with Nook Points.

The Tom Nook Point System (TNPS) is a loyalty program for Tom Nook's store in Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk. Accessed from the Point-Tracking Machine (PTM) in the store, the Tom Nook Point System keeps track of the player's purchases, rewarding one point for every 100 Bells spent on a single item. As the player accumulates points, they will receive unique items and increase their member status, giving them store discounts.

Around once per month, Tom Nook's store holds a Point Special, in which the player receives five times the normal amount of points for each purchase. Point Specials always occur on weekends where there are no events, and they are announced on the bulletin board three days in advance.

Appearances[edit]

In Wild World[edit]

In Animal Crossing: Wild World, the player increases their member status when they accumulate a total of 300, 5,000, 10,000, and 20,000 points. Reaching each status rewards the player with a unique store model, and the last three statuses rewards store discounts. Point Specials do not occur until a second player moves to the player's town.

Selecting the latter option allows the player to spend points in exchange for Nintendo-themed items; the player can accumulate a total of 50,000 points to spend.
