The Critterpedia is an NookPhone app in Animal Crossing: New Horizons that lists all the insects, fish, and sea creatures the player has caught. It serves the same purpose as the encyclopedia in previous games. Upon catching a critter for the first time, the player exclaims "Yes!" before saying the catch quote and the critter is registered in the Critterpedia. Each Critterpedia entry shows the critter's seasonality, active hours, location, and whether it has been donated to the museum. The Critterpedia can be toggled between a list and pictures view by pressing
