The Shark is a fish that can be found in the ocean from June through September from 4 AM to 9 PM. It doesn't have to be raining. The shark has a "Huge (with fin)", shadow size when seen in the water. It is one of two fish to be in two groups: the 15,000 group and as the most prominent member of the shark group. It is also the longest fish in the game, at about 550 centimeters. The shark, being so immense, will win any "size" fishing tourney.

Blathers has this to say upon donation:
- '"Shark flesh is often used in processed seafood products, eh wot? As such, you might wonder why it isn't grilled like other fish, am I correct? Well, shark tends to reek of ammonia, you know. And that is NOT good."
