This conversation contains an error where Resetti and Don's lines will be swapped, starting from the point when Don is supposed to say "point taken, Sonny".

The Resetti Surveillance Center—now known as the Reset Surveillance Center—returns in {{NL|short|nolink}} as a public works project, with its construction allowing Mr. Resetti, as well as Don, to scold the player each time they reset their game. (Previously, no prerequisites had to be fulfilled for the mole to make appearances, but due to reports stating that his lectures have been the cause of distress among younger players, the developers decided to make him an optional feature.) To unlock the Reset Surveillance Center as a public works project, the player must reset their game once, which causes them to receive their first - and possibly only, depending on whether the surveillance center is installed or not - lecture from Mr. Resetti. After this, [[Isabelle]] adds the Reset Surveillance Center to the list of available public works projects. The construction cost is 368,000 Bells, which can be paid to [[Lloid]] at the construction site.

Following the center's completion, Mr. Resetti resumes his staple role of reprimanding those who reset without saving. The Reset Surveillance Center, similar to its past appearance, is once again enterable. Rarely, during the evening (between 9 PM and midnight) of a sunny day that follows a day where it rained or snowed, the manhole covering the center's entrance will be removed, allowing access inside.

The Reset Surveillance Center is a location in Doubutsu no Mori e+, Animal Crossing: City Folk, and Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Inside, Mr. Resetti and his brother, Don, live and work. In Doubutsu no Mori e+, the center is hidden under a random breakable rock. In City Folk, the center is located at the eastern end of the city, behind two traffic cones in front of the tunnel leading out of the city proper; in New Leaf, on the other hand, the facility is available as a public works project at the cost of 368,000 Bells.

Appearances

Doubutsu no Mori e+

A player entering the Center in Doubutsu no Mori e+.

The Reset Center first appears in Doubutsu no Mori e+ and is accessible after the player's second encounter with Mr. Resetti. To get in, the player must hit every rock with a shovel until one cracks. Hitting the cracking rock again will break it and reveal a hole. Entering the hole will lead to the Reset Center, where Mr. Resetti and Don Resetti can be found. However, unlike later games, there is no reward for getting inside.

Animal Crossing: City Folk

A player inside the Surveillance Center in Animal Crossing: City Folk.

In its second appearance in the Animal Crossing series, the Reset Surveillance Center is located in the tunnel at the eastern end of the city, its entrance usually blocked by two traffic cones. However, on random evenings after 8:00 PM, a nearby light will be lit, and one of the cones will be pushed aside, allowing entry. Should the player enter the center, they will find either Mr. Resetti or Don, who will be surprised that they were able to get into the subterranean structure. The brother present will then ask the player to withdraw from the facility, eventually offering to give the player a Silver Shovel.

On subsequent visits, the player may come across Mr. Resetti and Don sitting in the center's two orange chairs. After the player speaks to one of the brothers, they engage in conversation - during which an alarm goes off. In response, the chair that Mr. Resetti is settled in pulls back, and the mole exits the building, presumably to travel to the residence of the resetter. This conversation contains an error where Resetti and Don's lines will be swapped, starting from the point when Don is supposed to say "point taken, Sonny".

Animal Crossing: New Leaf

Mr. Resetti shocked at seeing the player in his headquarters in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

The Reset Surveillance Center returns in New Leaf as a public works project, with its construction allowing Mr. Resetti. After this, Isabelle adds the Reset Surveillance Center to the list of available public works projects. The construction cost is 368,000 Bells, which can be paid to Lloid at the construction site.

On the first visit, Mr. Resetti can be found watching television, and if spoken to, he will go on an in-depth ramble about his job before shooing the player away. Subsequent visits may involve Mr. Resetti, Don or both. Five visits are required for Don Resetti's pic, followed by an additional two visits for Resetti's pic.
