Real-world information

The Moorish idol, scientific name Zanclus Cornutus, is a marine ray finned fish species belonging to the Zanclidae family. They are found on reefs in the Indo-Pacific region. They have small mouths with bristle like teeth. The name of this fish seemingly is derived from the respect these fish have among some fishermen in parts of South-East Asia. Moor is incorrectly used as it typically refers to the Moor people of Morocco, an area where this fish is not found in the wild.
