Donating to the museum
Like all fish, bugs, and sea creatures in the Animal Crossing series, the Anchovy can be donated to the museum by talking to Blathers, the curator. He will tell the player some information about it when the player donates it.
In New Horizons
"There are more than 140 species of anchovy, but they do all have some things in common. They are all small and feed by simply swimming with heir mouths open to filter food particles from the sea. In my sleepier moments, I sometimes wish I could do that..."
When donated, the Anchovy can be found in the north-east room of the fish exhibit, in the large central tank with the porthole windows. It swims in circles in a school of upwards of 100 or so of its kind, and is one of the few fish which the museum will have multiple of upon its donation. It shares the tank with the Horse Mackerel, as well as a number of predatory fish that occasionally attack the school, including the Blue Marlin, Tuna, Giant Trevally, and Mahi-Mahi.
