C.J. is a special character who debuted in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. He runs the Fishing Tourney, and appears to have a similar role to Chip from previous games. He is shown to have a background in streaming and internet presence, as he will 'challenge' the player to catch three big fish, claiming it's to 'keep the fans happy'. After the player completes this challenge, C.J. will purchase any fish the player offers him.
