Leilani (クーコ, Kūko) is a green turtle (kappa in the Japanese versions) that appears in the Animal Crossing series for the first time in Animal Crossing: New Leaf as the wife of Kapp'n. Along with the rest of Kapp'n's family, she works at the island and runs Minigames called tours.

Leilani provides multiple island utilites:

• Registering the player for tours.
• Allowing the player to return to their town.

Etymology

Leilani's name means "heavenly lei" in Hawaiian.
