The king salmon[nb 1] is a freshwater fish in the Animal Crossing series introduced in Animal Crossing: Wild World. It appears as a very large shadow throughout the day during the first month of fall. In games prior to Animal Crossing: New Leaf, it can be found at the river mouth during the first half of the month, and in the river during the second half of the month. In New Leaf and Animal Crossing: New Horizons, it remains exclusively in the river mouth for the entire month.
