The Sea Bass (スズキ, Suzuki) is a saltwater fish in the Animal Crossing series introduced in Animal Crossing. Throughout the Animal Crossing series, the Sea Bass is known for being an extremely common fish, as noted by the player in its catch quotes in Wild World, City Folk, and New Leaf.
Catch details
In Animal Crossing
In Animal Crossing, the Sea Bass does not appear from mid-August til mid-September.[1] Therefore, during the first fifteen days of September, only Red Snappers, Barred Knifejaws and, during rain, Coelacanths will appear in the sea. This allows the player to earn large amounts of Bells in a short time.
In Wild World
In City Folk
In New Leaf
In New Leaf, the Sea Bass is used in the Soup de Poisson and Sea Bass Sauté recipes for the Harvest Festival.
"I caught a sea bass! See? A bass!"

In the Fishing Tourney
In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, when given a Sea Bass during a Fishing Tourney, Chip will say:
"I must say, when it comes down to it, sea bass are delicious, no matter how you prepare them. And hey, they're pretty good even if you don't do anything to 'em! YUM!"
In New Horizons
When donating to Blathers or selecting "Tell me about this!" in New Horizons, he will provide the following information about the fish:
