The ranchu goldfish is a rare fish in the Animal Crossing series introduced in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It can be found in ponds as a small shadow throughout the year, though only between the hours of 9 AM to 4 PM.
It also appears in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp as an event fish that was available during Fishing Tourney: Elegant Aquarium in August 2020 and Fishing Tourney: Foliage in September 2021.
