The whale shark[nb 1] is a very rare fish in the Animal Crossing series introduced in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. It is the second-most valuable member of the shark family, selling for 13,000 Bells, and is the only shark that can be caught all day long; in New Leaf, it is also the only shark to appear exclusively on Tortimer Island. Like all other sharks, it appears with a finned shadow, and in New Horizons it can be found in the sea from summer to early fall.
