Jingle (ジングル, Jinguru, Jingle) is a reindeer in the Animal Crossing series. He appears once a year on Christmas Eve for Toy Day, a made-up event in Animal Crossing in place of Christmas. He delivers presents, thought to be on behalf of Santa Claus, but he is never seen handing over any presents to other villagers. He is the only way to obtain items from the Jingle series.

Return

Like other special holiday related characters, Jingle only appears in Animal Crossing,Animal Crossing: City Folk, and Animal Crossing: New Leaf. This is because no real-life holiday events appeared in Animal Crossing: Wild World such as Christmas or Halloween. Jack and Franklin are two other special characters who did not make an appearance in Animal Crossing: Wild World.

Appearances

Animal Crossing

In Animal Crossing, Jingle can be found wandering around town starting at 8 PM on Christmas Eve (24th December). He needs to be approached three times to receive an item of his series, also asking presents to determine what item the player receives such as flooring, wallpaper and furniture all from the Jingle Series. He only gives out one present per villager, but there is a way to receive more.

To receive more presents from Jingle, players must change their shirt each time they receive a new item of clothing. They must change their shirt away from Jingle so he does not see them. He will assume they are a different character. However, doing this for long enough makes him realize they are the same character, though he simply laughs and does not ask for the furniture back.

Animal Crossing: City Folk

In Animal Crossing: City Folk, Jingle can be found wandering around town starting at 8 PM on Christmas Eve (24th December). During this time, he may also be found inside other villagers' houses, but only in the ones with their lights off (meaning they are outside). This is the only time in the game the player can visit a villager's house without their having to be inside. In one of the homes, Jingle will be inside dropping off presents. Upon talking to him, he will offer players a present, either one they can "lean on" or one they can "walk on", with further options of "huge things". These simply mean wallpaper "(lean on)", carpet "(walk on)" and furniture "(huge things)", specifically furniture from the Jingle Series. As in Animal Crossing, he will give only one present per person, but there is a way to obtain more furniture, as mentioned below:

To receive more presents from Jingle, players need to change only their face accessory instead of a shirt to obtain more items of the Jingle Series.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf

In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Jingle can be found wandering around town starting at 8 PM on Christmas Eve (24th December). If players are wearing a full set of Santa clothes, they can help him deliver presents to the residents. Before Christmas Eve, the villagers might randomly tell them what they want for Christmas. This can be furniture, fruit, a shirt, or a wallpaper.

When players finish, they receive a Christmas wreath. If seven out of eight presents are delivered correctly, the player receives Jingle's picture by mail the next day.

Jingle Series

Main article: Jingle Series

Jingle gives a complete set of furniture, which the Happy Room Academy rate very highly.

  • Jingle Wallpaper
  • Jingle Carpet
  • Jingle Shirt
  • Jingle Dresser
  • Jingle Piano
  • Jingle Bed
  • Jingle Table
  • Jingle Chair
  • Jingle Lamp
  • Jingle Wardrobe
  • Jingle Shelves
  • Jingle Sofa
  • Jingle Clock

All the furniture is red, white, and green, resembling Jingle's attire. The Jingle Shirt is not a part of the exchange in City Folk, but can be bought from the Able Sisters. It is like any other shirt, so once it is available it won't appear again for a while. Buying a Festive hat, Jingle shirt and the King's beard will complete a Santa Claus look.
