Moe (ジンペイ, Jinpei) is a lazy cat villager in the Animal Crossing series series. His name possibly comes from the sound a cat often makes, or after the rare breed of cat (the Egyptian Mau) depending on the pronunciation of his name. Moe is also the Dutch word for ‘tired’ or ‘lazy’, possibly referring to his personality type. His catchphrase, myawn, it a combination of the sound a cat makes, meow, and yawning, which reflects his lazy personality.
Appearance
Moe is a dark blue cat with light blue swirling stripes on several areas of his body. Moe has a pudge-like nose and forgiving, half-opened eyes with a yellow sclera; his pupils are vertical, thin, and black. His ears are held straight and are a deep, strawberry reddish-pink on the inside. He has a blue striped tail, arms, and legs with white "socks" as paws and feet if you look up close. His muzzle is white also. He initially garbs the Fish Bone Shirt that is black with a yellow fish bone imprint (hence, its name) in Animal Forest e+. In Animal Crossing: Wild World, Animal Crossing: City Folk, and Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Moe wears the BB Shirt that has a black background and "BB" in big white print in the front center. Moe resembles Tom a little with the blue coloring on the upper head area. His shirt compliments the color of his sclera and coordinates with the blue colors of his body. He is very into moving from house to house.
Personality
Below is a brief description of the lazy personality. For more information, click here.
As a lazy villager, Moe will be easy to get along with due to his laid back lifestyle. Like all lazy villagers, he shares an interest in food and relaxing. He will enjoy partaking in the usual hobbies, usually for relaxing reasons or for food (fishing). He will get along well with other villager types such as the normal villagers who act as a mother or elder sister figure and peppy villagers who appear to be around the same age. He may offend or confuse jock villagers, who have a conflicting lifestyle of exercise and fitness, who do not understand the reason behind the lazy lifestyle choice. Cranky villagers may upset or anger Moe. He may ask for blue plaid or detailed furniture, among others. He gets along well with players and Can be slightly romantic towards female characters.

House
In Doubutsu no Mori e+, Moe has the same house as Bubbles the hippo, with the difference that the carpet is the Classroom Floor and the Wallpaper is the Green Wall. In Animal Crossing: City Folk, Moe has part of a classroom theme and a mop in his house. Moe's house has the green wall and the music room floor. Originally, his house contains a Blue bed, a kiddie dresser, an anatomical model, a green table, a dice stereo, a vision tester, model skeleton, and a stadiometer. If he obtains a stereo, it will play "K.K. Ragtime."
