Merry (さっち, Satchi) is a peppy, cat villager from the Animal Crossing series. She first appeared in Doubutsu no Mori e+, was absent from Animal Crossing: Wild World, and reappeared in Animal Crossing: City Folk. Her Japanese name comes from 幸 sachi, meaning happiness. Her English name comes from "merry", having the same meaning as her Japanese name, and is also similar to the common given name "Mary".
Characteristics
Appearance
Merry is a white cat with short, brown hair, possibly in an undercut style. She also has pink blush and is wearing mascara. There is pink inside her ears and she has a small, pink nose. She initially wears a Daisy Shirt and her mouth seems be in the shape of a smile at all times, even when she is angry or sad. She is similar in appearance to another cat named Felicity.

Merry is a peppy villager, meaning that she will be outgoing, somewhat competitive, and friendly towards the player and other villagers. She will get along well with other villagers, meaning she will get along with normal, lazy, jock, and other peppy villagers, but dislikes or will annoy snooty and cranky villagers who will find her rude, especially when she criticizes them. She will partake in the regular hobbies including fishing, bug catching, clothing, and fossil hunting.
