Sandy (ラン, Run) is a normal, ostrich villager from the Animal Crossing series, appearing only in the original Animal Crossing. She was planned to make a reappearance in Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, but was cut for unknown reasons.

Sandy is an orange ostrich with blue eyelids. She most likely got her name from the rumor that ostriches bury their heads in sand when they are startled. Her sandy color also relates to this. Her initial shirt is the blue scale shirt. Sandy's shirt is bipolar to the one Rio wears. Her eyes highly resembles Sally's.

Sandy is a normal villager, which means she will appear friendly and hospitable towards the player. She will rarely get mad. She will act motherly to the player and other villagers.
