This one came about when a friend kindly gifted me their old Switch Lite, so that I could have a new save file that didn’t use my deadname without deleting Dawn Star (which I was very proud of). Even though I haven’t had it for as long as any other save file, it’s nice to have one all to myself without my parents’ input, and has quickly become the town/island I have the most fondness for. Well hello there! I'm Vivien, AKA Meganium39, and I’ve been on Nookipedia since 2021, I think. I’ve been an Animal Crossing fan since 2018.

I’m not a hugely active wiki editor and am unlikely to ever bring forward any new knowledge barring a major announcement for a new game or DLC. My main focus is vandalism defence and grammar corrections, with some talk-page proposals spliced in.

General Info

  • I discovered Animal Crossing at the age of 8, when I played NL for the first time in March 2018.
  • My username is a combination of my favourite Pokémon and a number derived from my birthday.

Game Saves

Aldecham

Aldecham is the name of my Wild World town, which isn’t particularly active but it exists.

Mirwood

Mirwood is my City Folk/Let’s Go To The City town. I previously had another City save, called Woodvill, from early 2019, but I hardly played it and only remember four villagers: Drake, Bunnie, Margie and Hopper. Much like Aldecham, I don’t play City all that much, and Mirwood isn’t very active.

Flyhouse

My oldest surviving ACNL save file is called Flyhouse. It was established on April 7th, 2019 by my character Mayor Kaitlyn. My real name is Vivien, but for some reason me from two years and two months ago thought that my New Leaf profile should be called Kaitlyn. The save with Flyhouse on is not my first- my original copy of New Leaf was lost for over 6 months until I moved house in the fall of 2019. My original copy of vanilla New Leaf (updated to WA via the eShop) is now perfectly okay, and was later used to create another town, Sinnoh. Flyhouse, meanwhile is on my new cartridge of Welcome Amiibo and has been inactive since the launch of New Horizons. Now, here are my villagers. Please forgive my horrible inability to format pictures properly!

Current

TOBY- I like him, but he wears one of my Custom Designs which looks weird on him.
CHIEF- I got him in via. amiibo after he asked to leave my ACNH island.
CHELSEA- Past me liked her enough to amiibo her into town, but my thoughs on her now are meh.
SYLVIA- Probably a random move-in because I don't really care much for her.
MALLARY- She only lives in my town because I asked for the wrong amiibo- Mallary when I wanted Maelle. I fell in love with her, though.
SPARRO- I used the new character trick to villager hunt for him after Chai left.
VICHE- I'm a Splatoon fan, so...
CECE- To keep Viche company.
STITCHES- If I remember correctly, I got a random move-in I hated and subbed them out for the free amiibo I got in amiibo Festival.

Former

DELI- I think he was a starter. I only remember him because of Main Street.
CLAY- Also possibly a starter, if not my Day 3 move-in. He asked to leave and I let him.
ELOISE- Annoying New Leaf move-out mechanics led to me losing this beauty.
VIOLET- I never cared much for her and barely noticed her leaving.
DRIFT- He was a starter, and one who didn't endure for long.
ROSCOE- I hated him and was very happy when he asked to go.
KEVIN- He was funny I guess, but I didn't care when he left.
APPLE- I hold a grudge on her for moving on top of my perfect orange trees.
LOLLY- My bestie- moved in early right by my house, got her pic when she packed her bags. My true hero.
CHAI- She left when I was on hiatus.

There's more than this but I don't care about/can't be bothered with any of the others.

Sinnoh

  • Created June 28th, 2021

In 2019 I lost my copy of New Leaf and bought a new one to replace it. The original turned up, however, during a house move in late 2019, prompting me to create a new town on the original cartridge when I was sick and had nothing better to do. I reset this file in February 2024, since it contained my deadname.

Final

(I call this the final lineup but I’m actually lying. This was the lineup when I last played the file regularly, by the time I sold the town some of my villagers had moved away and others moved in randomly.)

COACH- I know he isn’t popular, but I’ve actually grown pretty fond of him. One of three Sinnoh residents that came from the campsite.
ROSIE- Can’t remember whether she was a random move-in or from amiibo. I like her a lot!
PLUCKY- After she moved out, I stubbornly re-imported her with amiibo.
HOPKINS- You know, I don’t know what compelled me to move in Hopkins with amiibo. I like him, but I don’t… get it.
PHIL- He lives right by my house, and I’m glad of it.
BOOTS- IDK. I just think he’s pretty cool.
BERTHA- Another one from the campsite. I don’t really like the hippos, but I think she’s okay.
HOPPER- He’s mean, but I like his eyebrows.
MAELLE- A duck with a nice haircut- what more do I need?
ANABELLE- She came from the campsite. I think she’s pretty sweet.

Ivy Bay

This is the save file I made after selling Sinnoh to Tom Nook for 5.3 million Bells.

Current

LOPEZ- I like the deer, but it’s only since he moved to Ivy Bay I’ve found myself with a fondness for Lopez.
WADE- He moved right in front of my house, so I quickly became very attached to him indeed.
TASHA- I somehow feel like she’s meaner to me than the other NL snooties.
MARINA- I never liked her as much as I expected I would.
MURPHY- He’s a bit silly to me, just because of his very deep voice coming out of such a small cub.
GOLDIE- I let her leave my ACNH island and regretted it, so I used her amiibo to bring her to Ivy Bay.
FELICITY- As a kid I thought she was weird. Now she’s just cute to me.
ALFONSO- I feel like I hardly see him.
BILL- Since Ivy Bay is the first save where I picked the boy (for a change more than anything), he surprised me with how different jock dialogue is for male players.
PASHMINA- Only here because I needed a Sisterly after Shari left, and I happen to have her amiibo.

Former

CYRANO- A starter. At first I thought I’d like him, but I never did.
OZZIE- A similar story to Cyrano’s.
MARCIE- Funnily enough I used to love her… but I don’t these days.
SHARI- The only one of my ex-villagers I kind of regret letting go of.
PATE- With Pate, the AC devs did the impossible: they made a really ugly duck.
CHADDER- Hideous.
ANKHA- She was fine I guess.
STATIC- I originally planned on keeping him, but his house was in an awkward spot.

Other ACNL files

I’ve had quite a few ACNL files on the cart that would later become Sinnoh and Ivy Bay. These are all from early 2019 or before, and I don’t remember much about them. There are probably a few other saves I had, too, but don’t remember existing- these would almost certainly be between Mushland and Nowhere, or Nowhere and Tusyin. Out of these files, Tipvale was the one on which I made the most progress. All files here are listed alongside the villagers I remember from them.

  • Paris (this was the save file of the previous owner of the cart. I played it as a non-mayor character for several months until I worked out how to recreate the town.)

Toady

I got my Switch for Christmas 2018, and enjoyed playing many games including Pokemon Let's Go: Pikachu and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe before ACNH's release. When ACNH was released, I bought it on launch-day and played it daily throughout lockdown. My island was called Toady and my character's name (more younger-me logic) is Millie. My parents also had save files here- my dad's house is modelled after a hotel. Toady was deleted in July 2021.

Classic

Here are the ten villagers that were staples of Toady in its lifetime.

KYLE- He was found on a Mystery Island. I was sceptical, but I love him.
HORNSBY- He was only there for so long because my parents wanted to keep him. I wasn't keen, so Mom ended up buying a Switch Lite.
AUDIE- She was my dreamy for a long time.
SYLVANA- Moved in relatively late on, but a Toady classic.
MAELLE- She lived on Toady for the vast majority of its lifespan.
FUCHSIA- Found on an island tour. A great deer for a great island.
ROD- He was pretty good fun, if irritating.
KETCHUP- Need I explain? Look how cute she is!
CHIEF- Not sure what I saw in him. He was nice, anyway.
There was a plot which kinda kept changing... occupants included Queenie, Lolly, Celia, Groucho, Beau, Ken, and many, many others.

Former

KATT- Starter uchi whose offer to leave I gladly accepted.
PANGO- 3-New-Plots peppy who I kicked out when her dialog got boring.
TANK- Starter jock who I never warmed up to.
TIPPER- Campsite visitor who was loved on Toady before departing to my mum's.
LOPEZ- My mandatory campsite visitor who I never cared for.
PASHMINA- My dad adored her, but I didn't care for her.
BEAU- My best boy. He is now loved by a close friend.
FAUNA- Mystery Island find. I liked her, but didn't really care when she left.

Again, Toady has rejected more than this, but I don't care about any of the others.

Dawn Star

In July 2021, I deleted the island of Toady for Dawn Star, my new place. This time I'm finally named my actual name! Until I came out as transgender and changed my name… This save file has also been mostly inactive (save for my dad, who has a character here) since October 2022. Anyway, here are my lists of villagers.

Current

ROBIN- Replaced starter Uchi Ursala after she asked to leave.
SASHA- I thought they were a girl, but their gender doesn't deter me.
WALT- I used an amiibo to get him in. I love the male kangaroos!
QUILLSON- He moved in quite recently, so I never had time to warm to him.
RIO- I wanted her to return for ages, despite never playing Population Growing.
JUNE- In July 2022, June became the first villager to give me their photo in New Horizons.
SHERB- I love him! I was lucky enough to get the fairycore goat 3-New-Plots.
SNOOTY- I like Japan-inspired villagers, and Snooty makes me laugh.
FAITH- I warmed to her even more than I thought I would.
BAM- It took forever to find him with Nook Mile Tickets, but he was worth it.

Former

HAMLET-My starter jock who I don't hate but didn’t want.
MITZI- I don't mind her but she had to go.
CHERI- I hardly spoke to her, ever.
CHOPS- I was disgusted when I saw him as the first camper.
TYBALT- He was kicked for Sasha when 2.0 dropped.
COLTON- I never warmed to him. Replaced by Roswell at 2.0.
AUDIE- Her time with me spanned ~9 months and two islands, but her time came to go.
CHELSEA- I got bored of having a duplicate of the worst personality.
URSALA- She was a starter who I traded back and forth to upgrade her house. A fun villager who left when she asked to.
VIVIAN- When I changed my own name to Vivien this became too weird.
ROSWELL- He was fun, but I got bored of him quickly.

Triplin

  • Created October 29th, 2022

ACNH town number three, hence the name, Triplin! This one came about when a friend kindly gifted me their old Switch Lite, so that I could have a new save file that didn’t use my deadname without deleting Dawn Star (which I was very proud of). Even though I haven’t had it for as long as any other save file, it’s nice to have one all to myself without my parents’ input, and has quickly become the town/island I have the most fondness for. These are its villagers.

Current

ANTONIO- He was a starter. Didn’t expect to warm to him, but I did.
DRAKE- Found him on an island tour for Nook’s 3 New Plots quest. I think he’s quite funny.
PATTY- Also from 3 New Plots. She gave me her photo in March 2023.
CYD- If there’s one villager in the way of you moving about, it’s usually this guy.
AGNES- I‘ve liked her since the New Leaf days, but never had her until now. She did not disappoint.
BREE- She asked to leave my mom’s island on the same day I had an empty plot. I love Bree, so this was great!
GAYLE- From an island tour. She’s quite cute, but if she asks to go I’ll probably get rid.
PURRL- The best thing about cat villagers is putting scratching posts and litter trays in their houses.
RENEE- I like her, but honestly not as much as her predecessor Goldie.
HENRY- His haughtiness never fails to make me laugh.

Former

CURLOS- My mandatory campsite villager. I never cared for him, not even a bit.
FAUNA- Yet another from 3 New Plots. She stayed or a while, but was ultimately replaced by Gayle.
GOLDIE- I miss her.
SYLVIA- I didn’t enjoy her as much as I expected, so she got kicked out.
PETRI- She was just Bree but worse. And then she was replaced by Bree!
QUINN- I don’t really remember much about her, in honesty.
GLADYS- I enjoyed having her about, but I definitely prefer her replacement Purrl.
OLIVE- She didn’t stay very long in the end.
IONE- Not sure why I liked her, but I always did.

I’m certain there were more than this, but I haven’t recorded who they were.
