The player on a boat tour island

Boat tours are a service provided by Kapp'n in Animal Crossing: New Horizons beginning in version 2.0. The player can pay  1,000 Nook Miles to Kapp'n at the island's pier to travel to a random deserted island, similar to a Mystery Island Tour. Each boat tour island has one Gyroid Fragment buried on it.

Island types

Normal

Known internally as "Haniwa" islands, these islands have no unique properties. Their date matches the player's island. There are 6 different layouts of these islands. Although these islands usually contain one Gyroid Fragment and have clear, sunny weather, they will rarely be raining and contain one additional fully grown Gyroid.

Vegetable

Known internally as "Vegetable" islands, these islands contain one random type of vegetable sprouted all around the island. Their date matches the player's island and they always have clear, sunny weather. There are 4 different layouts of these islands.

Vine

Known internally as "OneRoom" islands, these islands contain several vines and glowing moss all around the island. The DIY bottle that appears on the beach contains a random vine or glowing moss DIY. Their date is August 1 for the Northern Hemisphere and February 1 for the Southern Hemisphere. These islands always have clear, sunny weather. There are 4 different layouts of these islands.

Star Fragment

Known internally as the "StarPiece" island, this island always has a meteor shower taking place which can be wished upon to have star fragments appear on the player's beach the following day. In addition, the rocks here drop random star fragments, including large star fragments and random seasonal star fragments from every month. Normal star fragments have a 14% drop rate, Large Star Fragments have a 2% drop rate, and each seasonal star fragment has a 7% drop rate. The DIY bottle that appears on the beach contains a random star fragment DIY. The date on this island is June 15 for the Northern Hemisphere and December 15 for the Southern Hemisphere. This island always has clear weather and is always night time.

Cherry Blossom

Known internally as the "Sakura" island, this island always has cherry blossoms falling from the sky, some cherry blossom trees, and clear, sunny weather. The DIY bottle that appears on the beach contains a random cherry blossom DIY. The date on this island is April 10 for the Northern Hemisphere and October 10 for the Southern Hemisphere.

Spring Bamboo

Known internally as the "SpringBamboo" island, this island has bamboo trees around the island. The DIY bottle that appears on the beach contains a random spring bamboo DIY. The date on this island is May 31 for the Northern Hemisphere and November 30 for the Southern Hemisphere. This island always has clear, sunny weather.

Summer Shell

Known internally as the "SeaShell" island, this island has Summer Shell on the beach. The DIY bottle that appears on the beach contains a random Summer Shell DIY. The date on this island is August 31 for the Northern Hemisphere and February 28 for the Southern Hemisphere. This island always has clear, sunny weather.

Mushroom

Known internally as the "Mushroom" island, this island has mushrooms all around the island. The DIY bottle that appears on the beach contains a random mushroom DIY. The date on this island is November 30 for the Northern Hemisphere and May 31 for the Southern Hemisphere. This island always has clear, sunny weather.

Maple Leaf

Known internally as the "Maple" island, this island always has Maple Leaf falling from the sky and clear, sunny weather. The DIY bottle that appears on the beach contains a random maple leaf DIY. The date on this island is November 25 for the Northern Hemisphere and May 25 for the Southern Hemisphere.

Snowflake

Known internally as the "SnowCrystal" island, this island always has snowflakes falling from the sky and snowy weather. The DIY bottle that appears on the beach contains a random snowflake DIY. The date on this island is February 24 for the Northern Hemisphere and August 24 for the Southern Hemisphere.
