Medli is a normal bird villager in Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo who is based on the character of the same name from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Her birthday is the same as the Japanese release date for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.
Medli can only move to the player's town if either the Super Smash Bros. Toon Link, The Wind Waker Toon Link, or any Princess Zelda amiibo (excluding the Super Smash Bros. version) is scanned and she is invited to move in from the campground. She cannot be asked to move in from another player's town or campground.
Characteristics
Appearance
Medli is a beige bird with a white torso and white-tipped wings. She has short brown hair, red eyes, a yellow beak, and yellow feet. She wears a thin circlet around her head. She is stylized after Medli from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Her initial outfit is the Medli Outfit, which is based on her outfit from that game.

As a normal villager, Medli will appear friendly and hospitable towards the player and other villagers. Like other normal villagers, she will have an unseen obsession with hygiene and cleanliness, which she mentions when the player visits her in her home. Other than her hygiene interests, she will appear neutral and open-minded when discussing hobbies. She will get along easily with other villagers, but may conflict with lazy villagers when they talk about food and leading her on to suggesting making them dinner or lunch. She may have trouble getting along with cranky, big sister, and snooty villagers in general due to their mean-spirited nature.
