Frank is a cranky, eagle villager from the Animal Crossing series, who first appeared as an islander in Doubutsu no Mori e+ under the jock personality. Frank’s name could be a reference to his cranky personality: To be “Frank” is to be impolitely brief and to the point. Frank’s name is also the Japanese name of another eagle villager. His Japanese name is named after The Incredible Hulk, a superhero created by Marvel Comics.

Frank is a green eagle with red and yellow striped legs. He has heavy eyebrows and bags under his eyes, and his yellow beak is tipped with red. He seems to resemble a parrot, much like Pierce. He initially wears a blue aloha shirt as an islander, and wears a black letter jacket in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

Frank first appears as a jock islander in Doubutsu no Mori e+, meaning he is competitive, brotherly and athletic. He appears absent-minded and somewhat self-centered in conversation, but is generally kind and generous to a player. He unintentionally offends lazy and snooty villagers, as he is confused about their lifestyle. He is considered the male equivalent to the hyperactive peppy villagers.

Frank bears the cranky personality in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, meaning he is mature and adult-like, a slight contrast to his original personality. He is sometimes belittling of other villagers, but is more hospitable and kind when befriended. He will learn to confide in the player when time passes, often stating that he considers the player to be his only friend. Despite how he values his friendship with the player, he finds it difficult to communicate with normal villagers, who do not appreciate his habit of spreading rumors about others.

House

Frank's house in Doubutsu no Mori e+ is similar to any other islander's, consisting of only a few furniture items. As such, Frank will request a Retro Stereo, Regal Bed, Regal Chair, Regal Table, Regal Lamp, Regal Vanity, White Knight, and a Black Knight, alongside the Regal Carpet and Regal Wall. If Frank is given these items, he will use them to decorate his house. The end result makes it appear very similar to Pierce's house from Animal Crossing.

When Frank makes a return in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, his house is changed and given the Boxing Theme, consisting of many pieces of furniture one normally finds in a jock villager's home. This may be a reference to his appearance in Doubutsu no Mori e+, as he was featured with the Jock personality in that game. A Lab Wall and Boxing Ring Mat are his wallpaper and carpet respectively. He has the Judge's Bell, two Ringside Tables, a Weight Bench, an Office Locker, a Drinking Fountain, a Folding Chair, a Sandbag and a Speed Bag. K.K. Casbah plays on his stereo.
