Plucky is a chicken villager from the Animal Crossing series. Her name comes from the word "pluck," meaning "to pull out feathers when preparing a bird for food." When she debuted in Animal Crossing, she was a peppy islander. After Doubutsu no Mori e+, Plucky would be absent from any Animal Crossing series media until she made an appearance in Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo, this time as a sisterly villager.

Characteristics

Appearance

Plucky PG.png

Plucky is a brown chicken with a pale maroon beak. She has a sky-blue comb and wears a red leaf on her head, which was lost in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. She also has white eyelashes and her feet orange striped with black.

Personality

Throughout the series, Plucky has had two different personalities. She debuted as a peppy islander in Animal Crossing, and later became a sisterly villager in Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo.

In Animal Crossing

Below is a brief description of the peppy personality. For more information, click here.

From her debut in Animal Crossing, until Doubutsu no Mori e+, Plucky is a peppy islander. Plucky will have the tendency to overreact in conversations about trivial subjects such as appearing in competitions and the chance of her losing. This sometimes triggers her to ask for a certain item of clothing or furniture which she needs to enter a competition. She, like other peppy villagers, will rarely be discouraged from doing anything, including the usual hobbies. She will also have a short attention span, which means she will soon forget arguments or tasks given to the player which were not completed.

In Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo

Below is a brief description of the sisterly personality. For more information, click here.

Plucky reappears in Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo with a sisterly personality. She acts similar to a snooty villager, but she is more caring toward the player. She sometimes disagrees with cranky and snooty villagers because they spread rumors and may seem offensive. However, she will usually get along with lazy, jock, peppy and other sisterly villagers.

House

In Animal Crossing, Plucky's house lacks any furniture when first seen. She will request from the player a Jukebox, a Cabin Dresser, a Cabin Armchair, a Cabin Couch, a Ranch Hutch, a Ranch Bed, a Ranch Bookcase, and a Fan Palm, plus the Ranch Flooring and Cabin Wall. Once these items are given, Plucky will use them to decorate her house.

In Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo, Plucky's RV/house has a surf house motif with K.K. Island playing in her home.
