Notes
See Category:Villagers for a list of villagers. Several DnMe+ villagers are missing from the category however, though they can be found here. See Category:Character art for images.
- Cells denote a villager's appearance in a particular game. The icon represents whether they appeared as a villager or an islander.
= Villager (use {{Ya}})
- File:Coconut.gif = Islander (use {{Ia}})
- Blank (use {{Na}})
- Villagers must be added to the table in alphabetical order as this is the default layout for the table.
- Use the most recent name for each villager, noting other names (if any) below the table. These will be changed to inline notes later.
- Use pictures from a villager's most recent appearance if available. Alternatively, use the highest-quality available image if the most recent picture is low-quality.
- In instances where a villager's personality has changed between games, list the original personality first (with game name in parenthesis) and the new one below. Considering other options for this, since this is a little inelegant and splitting the cells will break the table.
- Japanese names can be left blank for now for new entries, if preferred.
Also, a big thank you to anyone who wants to help with this :D
Comments
- I like the idea of including the Japanese name of each villager, but I'm not sure why it's the only non-English language being featured? (Other than the fact that we don't have info for most other languages on the wiki.) I think it might be more fitting to create a separate table/page that lists villager names in different languages. Although that is a project for another day.

- I put them in because the Japanese names are their original names, with each localization essentially being an interpretation of that. Plus it gives some insight as to the original inspiration of the characters (e.g. Claudia is clearly based on Marilyn Monroe, and her Japanese name is Marilyn). I like the idea of a name comparison table though. I think it's too much info to incorporate into this table (it's big enough as it is) but as a separate table just for the various names it would definitely be neat. --Dorsal Axe (talk) 12:14, April 23, 2015 (EDT)
- I think {{Na}} should have an x symbol just to fill it in. Also, would it be a good idea to include a separate template for any upcoming Animal Crossing games?
