Francine is a snooty, rabbit villager in the Animal Crossing series. Her initial phrase "karat" is a homophone on the vegetable, carrot - a typical food item for rabbits and carat in the UK, - a way to measure gold purity. As a snooty villager, gold would possibly refer to her stylish, materialistic lifestyle. She is the older sister of Chrissy.

Appearance

Francine is a white rabbit with a blue polka dotted hood and blue tights, blue eye liner, blue and white polka dotted eyeshadow, and pink blush. She also has a lemon-yellow fringe to match her soft cloudy appearance, and a green nose which stands out from her cloudy complexion. She is almost identical in appearance to Chrissy.

Personality

As a snooty villager, she will appear rude and arrogant towards the player, but will accept the player as a friend despite continuing her typical, sly comments. Her attitude towards the player changes, as she begins to warm up to them, but she will still retain some arrogance and subtle rudeness. She may not get on with lazy, jock and sisterly villagers, due to their conflicting lifestyles. She will also sometimes upset peppy villagers, usually by gossiping about them, and finding small things to judge them on. She will get along well with normal, cranky and other snooty villagers. In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Francine will go to sleep at 2:00 a.m. and wake up at 9:30 a.m.

Francine's house in Doubutsu no Mori e+ contains many furniture from the Lovely Series, such as a Lovely Chair, a Lovely Lamp, a Lovely Table and a Lovely Vanity. She also owns all kinds of umbrellas, such as a Polka Parasol, a Sunny Parasol, a Lotus Parasol and a Petal Parasol. From the back of Francine's house, she has a Red Tie-Dye, a Lite Polka Shirt and a Daisy Shirt displayed in a row. She also has a Birdcage, a Regal Bed, a Mini Dingloid and a Dingloid. Her wallpaper is the Lovely Wall and her carpet is the Cerametic Tile. Her Lovely Stereo plays I Love You.
